Prison Surprise: The Ex-President Jair Bolsonaro Faces Life in Prison

Lucas is not the lone figure speaking out ahead of the one-time head of state's predicted detention.
Authoring in a leading publication, another ally, the ex- communications minister Fábio Wajngarten, lamented the “severe” conclusion to Bolsonaro’s “impeccable” public service and claimed Brazil was about to witness “the greatest political injustice in its record”.
“It represents an injustice that erodes the spirits of millions people in Brazil,” Wajngarten wrote.
Varied Popular Opinion
That may be accurate considering the significant backing Bolsonaro maintains on the right-wing. Yet his anticipated imprisonment has also gladdened the hearts of millions individuals who think he should be jailed for planning to block his successor from taking power – and even scheming to have him assassinated.
